Why does my dog have black flaky ear skin and scabs on his legs?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 9 years and 5 months old | 40 lbs

Hello there is black flakey skin on my dogs ear and has some light scabs on the back of his legs he is nine years old he's a lurcher he used to hunt but is retired 1 year and Is no longer hunting I'd appreciate help thanks in advance

It looks like your dog could have a bacterial and/or a yeast infection. Have him examined by a vet for treatment. Your vet can prescribe medications to help. Your vet could also test his thyroid level to make sure he doesn't have a thyroid issue. You could also bathe him with a medicated dog shampoo and see if that helps.
