My dogs fought over a toy and one ended up with this bite. Will he need stitches? My husband and I just had a baby, and we are right on money until the 5th when he gets paid.

Since it is through the skin, ideally it should be cleaned and sutured. You can discuss payment plans or alternative financing options, such as Care Credit ( https://www.carecredit.com/vetmed/ ), with the veterinarian or office manager.
In the meantime, keep the wound clean and use an e-collar (cone) to prevent licking until Charlie sees the doctor.
If you let it heal on its own, monitor for lethargy, redness, discharge, fever or lameness. You can clean it daily with a diluted Betadine or chlorhexidine (Hibiclens) solution. Dry thoroughly afterwards.
(Congrats on your new addition!)
