My puppy was bitten, has pus, is weak. How can I help her now?

The main problem with bite wounds is that you have to let the wounds declare themselves before knowing exactly what is going to happen at the end. It sounds like Zara's wound got infected and has now formed an abscess. She can develop a fever from this and this can make her feel quite sick. Also, it would be ideal to know the true extent of her injuries. For this reason, I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Your veterinarian would be able to prescribe medications for pain control and also antibiotics to treat her infection which is the only way it can resolve. Good luck! Hi Seth! Molly is a lovely looking girl. This pustule could be from an insect bite, it could be a cyst, or she could have injured herself causing it. It is concerning that she is acting lethargic lately, and I would have her seen by a vet first thing in the morning for it as long as she is still eating and drinking, and going to the bathroom normally. The vet can diagnose what is causing this pustule and lethargy, and can treat her for it. If she isn't eating or drinking, is extremely lethargic, or develops other signs such as vomiting and diarrhea, I would take her into a vet immediately. I hope this helps!

The bump is probably swollen tissue, as he was bitten by another dog there is very high chances of him developing a bad infection from the bite wound, you will need to take him to the vet ASAP in order to get the wound checked and he will need a course of antibiotics in order to get better.

He needs to be taking antibiotics every day for 1-2 weeks, he also need to take pain killers as he is likely to be in pain, you need to continue the treatment in order to see if he is getting better or not.

When there is pus there is generally an infection. Try to clean the area with mild soap and water and flush out the prepuce as this can help. With sore legs and no appetite I would worry about arthritis either from age/injury or an immune mediated or tick borne disease. It is best to take him to the vet so they can do lab work to get you a definitive answer and start IV fluids if needed for dehydration. You can try pedialyte or Gatorade or boiled chicken and rice or yogurt or baby food to help until you can get him seen

Poor Pipp! She needs to be examined by a vet as soon as possible to determine the cause. She could have an infection, auto-immune disease, tumor, secondary to trauma, etc. Your vet may need to aspirate or biopsy the lesion to determine the cause and then determine the best way to treat the problem. Antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications are needed to speed up recovery time and resolve the swelling completely. Dinsifection must be provided as well with hibiscrub or betadine diluted. I would recommend an immediate check up at your local vet practice.
