Since Monday, my mom's dog has been restless, will scream/yike for no reason, and seems to be in discomfort, maybe from her abdomen. At first, we thought it was just a sore paw but now we realize it's her stomach/rib area that is in pain because whenever we touch it, she either yikes or becomes aggressive. We haven't noticed any bowel movements lately, so unsure if she's had one since Monday. We have an appointment with a vet at noon today but would like to hear your thoughts.

I am sorry to hear about your mom's dog! I am very happy you have an appointment to have her seen! The vet's exam will give them better clues as to possible causes, We do worry about pain due to herniated disks in the back in theses cases (sometimes referred pain when the belly is touched). We can have pain from prolonged constipation, bladder and kidney infection/stones/obstruction, pancreatitis, intestinal obstruction, and more. Your vet may recommend an x-ray after their initial exam to help determine what the cause might be. Best of luck and hope she is feeling better soon!
