My dog just started taking Azodyl for kidney problems. I was told to take her off of her Meloxicam, which she was taking for arthritis pain. She seems to be in more pain now and I would like to know if she can take both of these medications together. Please advise. Thank you

It is less so any interaction between the medications but the potential for meloxicam to aggravate kidney issues, it is generally used only with caution in dogs with kidney failure. You should discuss the changes in her symptoms with your vet and discuss other pain medications or the risk and benefit of meloxicam in her specific case
