My dog ate a Wandering Jew plant and is vomiting blood. Is it toxic?

This plant is considered to be toxic by affecting the skin only (Dermatitis, skin allergy), it doesn't sound as Ricky is being affected that way, maybe he is lethargic from a different reason but it is not likely to be due to this plant. if he seems seriously lethargic though, you should take him to the ER ASAP.

I hate to hear Jedi is sick. Vomiting blood is always concerning and any pet who is vomiting blood needs to be examined by the veterinarian today. Vomiting blood could be due to severe vomiting, a stomach ulcer, cancer, poisoning or a foreign object in the stomach. Poor Lady! Eating tissue paper should not normally cause any significant issues unless she ate a very large amount, so this is probably not related. Vomiting blood is always a very serious concern, so I would recommend taking Lady to the vet right away for an exam. She may have internal bleeding due to a stomach ulcer or foreign body, a GI illness such as pancreatitis or HGE (hemorrhagic gastroenteritis), or may have gotten into something toxic. Your vet can do blood work and x-rays if needed to help diagnose the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment right away.

Poor Lily. Vomiting streaks of blood is a medical emergency ,and she could have a foreign body, damage to her stomach or esophagus, GI ulcers, or may have eaten something toxic. You need to take her into a vet immediately.

Hello, and thanks for your question. The safest answer would be to send Chanel to the vet - vomiting blood certainly CAN be something serious like a stomach ulcer or bleeding disorder. However, if it was just small specks of blood, it may have been mild irritation associated with vomiting up (or swallowing) the weeds. If she's happy and playful and seems normal in every other way, I might be inclined to give a dog one "freebie" vomit - but if she vomits a second time, or if you see ANY other signs of illness such as lethargy, decreased appetite, etc then have her seen immediately by a vet.
