My puppy ate toy stuffing/elastic. What should I do if she hasn't pooped?

Please watch her stools to see if anything is passing or if you note any blood in her feces, etc. If she shows any signs of vomiting or diarrhea, please take her in. Depending on the amount of stuffing she took in-she could potentially become obstructed which could make her very sick. It sounds like you're watching her very closely, good for you! It can take up to 72 hours for the stuffing to pass, so I wouldn't be worried just yet. There are a couple of possibilities if you don't see any stuffing in Ella's feces: One, she didn't actually eat any. Two, it's moving very slowly through her GI tract. Three, it is stuck in her system. Keep monitoring her and her feces through the end of the week and she's acting normal, then I would suspect she didn't actually eat any of the stuffing. I would only be concerned if Ella stopped eating, become lethargic, and developed other symptoms such as diarrhea or constipation.

I would monitor her stool to see if there is any evidence of the fabric in her stool. If she is showing any symptoms such as vomiting, lethargy or decreased appetite then I would get her seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible to have abdominal x-rays taken and an exam.

If she chewed them up into tiny pieces, she will likely pass them. Monitor for lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. These are symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian.

Hello Joy, Unfortunately, there is no way for us to tell you if she will pass these parts with no problem. There are too many variables involved. Some dogs do pass these things and sometimes they get stuck in the GI tract somewhere. I suggest you have her to your vet for an exam. That is your best option. They can x-ray her and see if there are any abnormal items in her stomach. If you don't want to take her in now, then monitor her closely for: * not eating * vomiting * lethargy If any of those are noticed she needs to see a vet ASAP.

IT can take several days to pass, sometimes it stays in the stomach for some time before it continues to the intestines. as long as he is eating normally and not vomiting i would recommend to continue monitoring him and checking his poo daily.
