My dog ate a toy's fabric. Should I worry about intestinal blockage?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 7 months and 25 days old | 37 lbs

Hi, I have a 7 month old female Siberian Husky. On Saturday night, 09/25, I think she might have eaten an unstuffed, stuffed animal. By that I mean the animals stuffing had been removed and just the fabric was left. All I could find was the head of it. Today she threw up a small chunk of it. I'm not sure if she swallowed it whole or tore it in to pieces. She is pooping just fine, eating, and no pain. Internet had me worried about bowel blockage but she doesn't show any signs. What do I do?

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. If kora is not exhibiting signs such as vomiting, lethargy, inappetance or abdominal pain then she is likely ok. If you notice these signs I would get kora seen by the vet and have x-rays performed to rule out an intestinal blockage. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
