My dog ate steak and is sick. What should I do for his upset stomach?

Most often this is self limiting and a bland diet for the next 3-5 days should allow his GI tract to rest. You can offer a bland diet and observe him at home, if his vomiting continues or gets worse, he becomes more lethargic, or develops other signs such as diarrhea then he should be evaluated by his veterinarian. After eating a heavy, greasy meal, he may have developed gastroenteritis (inflammation in his stomach and intestines) or pancreatitis. Aside from assuring that he is drinking water and offering a bit of a bland diet (boiled white meat chicken and rice) as you have done, there isn't anything more that can be done at home. Young puppies are more susceptible to the effects of dehydration than adult dogs and need to be treated a bit more urgently. At this point, Rockie needs to take a trip to the vet for an exam, diagnostic testing and supportive care (IV fluids and medications). I hope that he is feeling better soon!

Stop giving her food like carne burritos and bologna. They are not healthy for her and cause GI upset. She doesn't need bread either.

I am sorry to hear about Scotch! If your vet recommended a certain food or feeding schedule I would continue with their recommendations as long as Scotch isn't vomiting. If they gave no recommendations you can try feeding very small meals of bland diet such as cooked white rice and boiled chicken breast in very small amounts every few hours.
