My dog ate a raw potato. Is it safe for dogs? What should I do?

Pilot ate a raw potato I’ve heard they aren’t supposed to have those!! What’s the worst that can happen he didn’t ate very much

Hello, Pilot should be fine as long as the potato wasn't moldy. Some molds may cause disorientation, seizures, and heart arrhythmias but this is most commonly seen in large animals. The potato may also cause some GI signs such as vomiting, diarrhea, or vomiting. If you note any of the above then have him evaluated by a veterinarian immediately. Otherwise, you can continue to monitor him at home and keep any other potatoes away from him. Hope this helps and best of luck.
