My dog ate pizza with dehydrated garlic. Should I worry about toxicity?

However, there was not a likely a lot on the pizza he ate if it was just flavoring on the crust. If there were whole cloves though, this would be more worrisome. This is likely not enough garlic to pose a serious risk of toxicity. At worst, you may see some mild stomach upset. Withhold food for 24 hours and feed a bland diet in small, frequent amount until symptoms resolve.

Hi there. There wouldn't be enough garlic on a couple of handfuls of chips to cause any toxicity issues, and Parmesan and peas are not toxic to dogs - so she should be just fine :) I would monitor her for the next few hours to be safe, and make sure she has access to plenty of fresh water since the chips were probably salty. She may have some mild GI upset if she isn't used to eating human food, but otherwise I would not expect any significant problems.

I am sorry to hear about Snickers! Luckily an ingestion of this size is not a real concern for toxicity, so I would not worry about him eating this tiny piece of garlic bread. Garlic and onions can be toxic, but we only see these effects when ingested in large amounts.

Though more toxic in cats we can see symptoms in dogs from onions and garlic. Most commonly though we will see vomiting and diarrhea. More sever symptoms include abdominal pain, inappetance, collapse, increased heart rate, etc. I would monitor for the next 24 hours and feed a bland diet as outlined below. Feed this for the next 3-5 days and then transition back to the normal diet. If you notice any new symptoms, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Falcon so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps!
