My dog ate pizza with dehydrated garlic. Should I worry about toxicity?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 8 years and 10 months old | 15 lbs

My 15 lb and 10 lb dogs ate about 1/8 of a celeste cheesepizza. The box states it has dehydrated garlic in the sauce. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for visiting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Luckily dehydrated garlic is not considered toxic to dogs. : ) Jaxon should be just fine. And even if it was fresh garlic, this was likely an amount too low to cause serious concerns.
Best wishes and take care of your pet Jaxon.
