My dog ate a human stool softener. Will he be okay or is it dangerous?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 6 months and 4 days old | 32 lbs

My 7 month old German Shepherd lab mix just ate 1 equate stool softener, it cogsins docusate sodium, 100mg. Will he be okay?

I suspect Harold will be fine. He may get some diarrhea or softened stool. Sometimes these human stool softeners can work too well. If he gets severe diarrhea, decreases drinking or seems uncomfortable, take him to the veterinarian immediately.
Feeding him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and boiled plain white rice may help to counter act any GI upset that may occur.
