Xanax has a wide margin of safety in dogs, and a total dose of 0.5 mg in a large-breed dog would not be expected to cause any problems at all - in fact, the commonly-used dosage range for a dog this size goes up to 2 mg. As long as she is at least 1kg (2.2 pounds), she will have ingested at most the highest recommended dose of the medication according to Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook. There are also no interactions between Xanax or Klonopin. She should be fine from this ingestion, but you may see some side effects of the drug such as sedation or ataxia. If you see any significant effects, such as GI effects (vomiting, constipation, diarrhea), or increased salivation, I would have Heaven Lee seen by a vet.

It is really hard to tell exactly what you are asking. Did Bruno swallow one pill of 0.5mg Lonazep (lorazepam)? If so, one tablet will not harm him. This is a benzodiazepine drug and dogs often take medications in this class of drug for anxiety and sedative effects. It can also be given for seizure activity. Dogs however, take a much higher dose than a person so that low dose will not harm him. The only thing you may notice is a bit of sleepiness but I doubt it. If your dog did ingest just one pill she will probably be ok. There are not a lot of studies of ambien usage in dogs but it has been found that it can cause "paradoxical excitation" which means instead of calling your dog it may make her more energetic and excitable. This side effect should go away once the drug is out of her system. If she is still acting abnormal in about 12-24 hours then you should take her in to the vet to be evaluated.
