My dog has an anal gland infection. Can I give her human meds?

There are no OTC pain medications you can give Meeka. Many human ones are toxic to dogs, and can be fatal if given. Antibiotics are prescription only. The only way to get these medications is to have her seen by a vet.

Unless there is a special circumstance involving Tia's glands, such as the area is just not healing, additional flushing & treatment is usually not necessary. Many different antibiotics are used for both humans and dogs, the only difference is the dose given. Antibiotics should not be given without the advice of your veterinarian.
