How can I determine my dog's breed and estimate her age?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Estimating age in a dog is based on a lot of factors such as the teeth. It is not possible to evaluate this in pictures. This would require an examination but keep in mind that even then, it would only be an estimation of the age. She is adorable! Best of luck!

Hello. If her teeth are just beginning to grow big, & based on how she looks in your pictures, I would say she is about 4-5 months old. It is very difficult to say exactly what breed she is, but I can see a little chow or spitz in her. she looks like she is going to be pretty fluffy. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! They are mixed breed dogs with German shorthaired pointer, Beagle and possibly some Pitbull in my opinion. You could consider having them DNA tested to know more precisely. Best of luck!

From the pictures, it does look like he may be a german shepherd or similar breed It is hard to estimate age from pictures, but he is clearly young (under a year). I would recommend if he was found, he be taken to a veterinary office for a check-up and to be scanned for a microchip.

Congratulations on your new pet! Kaya is adorable! Judging by her size and appearance, she may be a Labrador or Pointer mix. To better predict his age, it would be helpful to examine his mouth specifically his dentition. However, he is probably about 3 months old. Good luck and have a great day!
