Can I cut one large Seresto collar to fit two dogs of different sizes?

It would not be recommended to do this, as a Seresto collar and Advantage II have the same active ingredients - so you would essentially be giving your dog a double dose of medication, which may not be safe. It shouldn't be necessary to use two different flea control medications as long as you are using an appropriate size/dose for your dog's weight. If you are already using one of these products and are finding that it is not effective, I would recommend switching to a different flea medication entirely, such as Nexgard or Bravecto - these are both much more effective in my experience.

I would try the one for small dogs first, since Cinco is right on the border between weight groups. Seresto is very safe, so if the smaller collar isn't as effective as it should be move up to the large dog collar.

Definitely get PYY the smaller size. It's never recommended to try to cut a larger dose of the medication in half because you could either under dose your dog, or accidentally overdose them. I hope this helps!

Many pet parents do this, but it is not recommended. It is too easy to under dose or overdose a pet by splitting doses. By using a product in a manner contrary to label directions, you assume all liability in the event of a negative reaction or if the product is ineffective.

It is certainly not too much to use a Seresto collar with Sentinel! In my experience, Sentinel alone is not sufficient for proper flea control, but is great for heartworm and intestinal parasite prevention. The Seresto collar will prevent ticks and fleas, which is quite important. To answer your question, yes, use both! :-)

With medications in tablet form, you can certainly cut them in half and still be sure that you are giving half of the medication. Unfortunately with chewable medications (like Nexgard, Heartgard, etc.), splitting a dose in half does not ensure that half of the medication will be given. The active ingredients are mixed throughout the chews, but not necessarily in a uniform way. To answer your question, no, you shouldn't give Frosty half of a Nexgard. Instead, see if you can exchange the product for the correct size. It's likely that your vet will be able to prescribe a single dose while you sort out the exchange process. Giving Sentinel or Capstar will not interact with the Seresto collars, so you do not need to take them off before giving those medications. It will take a little time (a couple of days) for the collars to start working again while the medication spreads from the collar onto their skin, so go ahead and put them back on. If you are still having problems with fleas, be sure to talk to your veterinarian.
