Why is my Chihuahua acting strange, confused, or disoriented?

Any abrupt behavioral change is a good excuse to get him in to see your vet. He may be starting to develop a medical condition that should be investigated but it's so early that the only symptom he is displaying is this strange behavior. There may be something happening periodically that is making him uncomfortable of the feeling comes and goes, but either way, it should be looked into by your vet. Your vet will do a thorough exam, possibly some x-rays and/or bloodwork, as indicated. Based on these results your vet will have a better idea what is going on and be better able to advise you as to what action should be taken.

There are an umber of possibilities but I would be concerned she may have ear or dental issues causing pain, discomfort and disorientation. Older dogs can also develop cognitive dysfunction (similar to dementia) which can cause similar signs - a full check up by your local vet would be recommended as soon as possible as early medication can help relieve many of these symptoms

I still recommend to have Chico examined today. That abnormal behavior could have been caused by a seizure, a heart condition or a low blood sugar episode (which is HIGHLY abnormal in an adult dog and often indicate liver disease). The doctor will need to check some bloodwork to look for various causes of seizures and liver abnormalities. They will also check the heart and then discuss their findings and your options. Best to play it safe.

Poor Bella! Repeated circling behavior can be a sign of focal seizure activity in some dogs, or could be due to a brain tumor or anxiety. After seizures some dogs experience a post-ictal phase, which can result in lethargy for a period of time. Regardless of the cause, Bella's behavior is not normal and should be evaluated by her veterinarian to try to get to the bottom of this issue so that proper treatment can be started, if needed. If she cried out in pain, I recommend to have her examined. It's possible she hurt her neck or back in the tub last night but it could be unrelated. She sounds like she is not feeling good. Since she can't talk and she may be in pain, it's best to play it safe and have her examined today. I hope she gets back to normal quickly!

Shaking and/or trembling can be a sign of anxiety or pain. I would recommend evaluating the environment Sissy is in and see if there is anything new or unusual that could be causing her stress/anxiety. If everything is normal then I would be concerned that Sissy is painful/uncomfortable for some reason. If this behavior continues for more than a day or so or Sissy stops wanting to eat or drink, then you should probably have her checked out by your veterinarian. I hope this helps. Your dog needs testing done to get your better answers. That can be a sign a if pain or head or eye trauma or an infection. . A low blood sugar and calcium level can easily be diagnosed with a blood sample along with checking for an infection. once the lab work is complete you will know which way to treat. because she is so small I would get her rechecked to see why she is not getting better
