Chicken vs. turkey dog food: Which is healthier or more digestible?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year and 7 months old | 27 lbs

What is a better meat source in dry dog food...chicken or turkey? Is there one that is more easily digestible? One that is healthier?

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

I only tell clients to restrict chicken if there is suspicion of skin or intestinal allergies. Chicken is a safe and healthy choice. I see no difference is digestibility or health by choosing one over the other. If Annabelle is thriving on her current diet I see no reason to change it. I just advise owner to look for the AAFCO statement on the bag of dog food indicating it has gone through nutritional studies.
