What's the best adult food for a Boston Terrier switching to grains?

Coming to new home is stressful for a puppy. This combined with a diet cha he can cause diarrhea. Once she has had a few days to settle in, you can gradually transition her to a new diet. You will want to take at least 7 days of mixing the old and new diets. Make the transition gradual for her. I do not recommend feeding a grain free diet. They are very trendy, but there is new research that they may be linked to heart disease. You will want a puppy food from large company that is able to employ veterinary nutritionists on staff and do feeding trials for their diets on live dogs. There are a few that stand out in my opinion in terms of quality and palatability. I really like the Science Diet, Royal Canin and Purina Pro Plan products. A diet that I have found to be of very good quality, affordable and dogs love is the Purina Pro Plan shredded blends. You can find that at your local pet store or online. Otherwise any of the diets of the previously mentioned brands would also be good choices for Harley. Good luck!

I agree. I do not recommend to feed pets a grain free diet unless they have a known grain allergy. There are a few brands that I recommend because I think they’re high quality and pets tend to like the taste. Royal Canin is my number one choice. It is highly digestible and low residue and this tends to result in good stool quality with low stool quantity. Another brand I like is Purina pro plan. Nutro is also a good brand. Most pets do not have grain allergies. More commonly it's the protein source that causes allergies. For most dogs, grain free is not recommended. For general food, I recommend the brand Royal Canin. It is low residue and highly digestible and this results in great stool quality, minimal quantity and low odor. I also like Nutro and Purina Pro Plan.
