My blind dog cries 24/7 and has a runny nose. What can I do?

This sounds like she has a mild cold or upper respiratory infection. Generally these are viral colds and will run their course over a week or so. Just like with us no antibiotics are needed unless she develops a secondary bacterial infection. If the discharge becomes green and her condition worsens then please bring her right in for treatment. If you are waiting until your regular vet opens, you can try putting her in the bathroom with a hot shower on to use the steam in the room to help break up the mucus. I would keep her in there for about 15-20 minutes 3-4 times today. It sounds like Peanut may have an upper respiratory infection. Another possibility is an infected tooth.
