Rather than a particular weight, we want to go for an ideal body condition score. Now with young puppies (just like kids) they are growing and the body condition scoring doesn't matter as much, but we still don't want her to be very overweight. I’m not sure about the UK but breeders associations like American Kennel Club want the ideal female beagle to be about 9-10kg. A 6 month old who is currently 7.5 kgs should achieve that by a year or so of age. That being said, I do see a huge number of beagles who are more like 15-17kgs which may make your Ziva girl look petite. I recommend googling Purina body condition scoring chart and determining if the the degree to which you can see and feel her ribs is consistent with the lower body condition scores. If so, increasing her daily food ration slightly and re-assessing her body condition score in 2-4 weeks is advised. Good luck!

Supplementing calcium will not change her bones and could even be harmful for joint development - if she has a slight build it is likely genetic. If she is underweight then weight gain might help with her appearance but it may not change the shape of her head or legs much.

From the pictures and weight you described he seems pretty healthy, however your vet can help you monitor Murphy's weight to make sure he isn't gaining too much or becoming overweight. Most vets will use a body condition score to determine if the weight is appropriate (around 3 on a scale of 5 or 5 on a scale of 9 is good).
