Can my 3-month puppy be spayed? Do Petco vets accept pet insurance?

Mist vaccine clinics only do vaccines and not exams or provide records past vaccinations. I would recommend that you find an established Vet for Piper. The cost of a spay varies greatly but the least expensive option typically is doing it at your local humane society which you may qualify for. With pet health insurance, there are many different plans available. All will cover injury and illness, while some offer coverage for expenses related to routine wellness cost for an additional premium. Only the Petco's who offer physical clinics would be able to offer a spay. You can find information about these locations on Petco.com. Scroll down to the veterinary services. The cost of a spay will vary based upon the age, size, health issues and heat cycle. Your pup will need a physical exam to get a correct estimate. Petco does offer pet insurance but you would need to contact them directly. It does sound like your puppy has been vaccinated too early. Usually vaccines are started at 8 weeks then second vaccinations are at 12 weeks. It would be worth having the course again to be sure.

Some Petco locations have a full-service veterinary clinic inside them which can do neuters (like a Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach clinic or Thrive vet clinic). Petco locations that use Vetco do not do surgery (neutering).
