We start vaccinations around 7-8 weeks. I would take the puppy to your Vet once you get her and be sure you have an agreement with the breeder if they find anything wrong with her. She will her first DHPP and be dewormed. Bring a stool sample. Everything will be fine! Congratulations!

Congratulations on your new pup :) If she hasn't had anything done yet, she will need a vet visit for her first DAPP vaccine (for distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) as well as a general wellness check-up. She should also have a fecal exam for parasites, and should be dewormed if any are found. She's also old enough to start on heartworm prevention if this is a problem in your area - the vet should be able to advise you if this is needed. After that, she will need to have her DAPP vaccine boostered every 3-4 weeks until she's 16 weeks or older. She will also need a rabies vaccine at 16 weeks. Other vaccinations, such as Lyme disease, leptospirosis, or Bordetella (kennel cough) may also be recommended depending on what is common in your area and her risk of exposure. Your veterinarian should discuss this with you at her check-up visit, and will let you know if any of these vaccines are needed.

I would not take her to the vet straight away, I would take her home for a week and continue the same diet recommended by the breeder and same number of meals. Then in one week have her checked over. It is always best to have them settled at home for a week, as changing home can trigger tummy upsets in its own. Changing the diet would also contribute to having tummy troubles . Keep her on the same diet and discuss then with your vet, if the diet is appropriate for her, according to her age and weight. Your vet will also check her microchip number and advise you on any changes that need to be done, if necessary.

Congrats! I would just schedule a wellness visit with your vet soon so they can make sure he is healthy and no obvious issues. I would make sure he is on a large breed puppy food and that he is eating 2-3 times per day. I would go ahead and start crate training him if you are planning to do this to help house break him. If his 1st set of shots were given before he was 6 weeks old, then there is a good chance your vet may want to repeat his 1st set of shots simply because any shots given before 6 weeks technically don't count. Feed a high quality canned puppy food, she needs the energy and water 2. Watch for any face rubbing, twitching, seizures- these are signs of low calcium and this is a life-threatening condition, if any of this occurs get her to a vet right away. 3. Make sure the puppies are all suckling, and make sure Lila is licking them and cleaning them up. 4. Keep their enclosure clean and dry 5. Try to handle the puppies as little as possible and let Lila do her thing, instincts should take over 6. Call your vet about getting a dewormer for Lila. Also discuss her vaccine status 7. Keep any other dogs away, the puppies are at risk of getting viruses and infections. 8. You will need to have the puppies dewormed starting at 2 weeks of age, so make an appointment for then with your vet. 9. Weigh the puppies twice a day on a small gram scale.
