Why is my young cat lethargic, squinting, and has low energy?

I have a 2 year old grey and white Tabby male cat that acts very lethargic. He did have a history of a respiratory infection that he got over. Since then and due to that his eyes are almost always squinting now, he moves around with little energy and is barely vocal. I'm worried and don't know what to do because he is so young.

I agree that it sounds like Tommy is not feeling well at all. Squinting eyes often indicate a respiratory tract infection though other issues like a lack of tear production and scratches on the cornea can also look the same way.
The fact that he has little energy is very worrisome. Cats who feel bad often don't drink and eat the way they should to maintain health. They are prone to dehydration.
Upper respiratory infections can also move into the lower respiratory tract and cause a pneumonia. Here is a link about the condition:

I recommend to have Tommy examined by the veterinarian today to access his condition and provide supportive care. Moving forward, cats who are prone to URI need the best nutrition and I recommend the brands Royal Canin and Purina ProPlan. They can also benefit form daily kitty lysine.
