Walnut litter for asthmatic cats? When to give albuterol for coughing?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 11 lbs

Is walnut litter a good litter to use on asthmatic cat? Also vet prescribed albuertol syrup 2 ml as needed, if sweetie is not coughing she should not take it until she does cough right?

As long as it isn't dusty I don't think it should be a problem. And the albuterol syrup marked 'as needed' should be give when she needs it if there are no more specific instructions than that, so yes, if she starts coughing, give her a dose.
