If you do not have documentation stating that a pet was vaccinated you can run a specific blood test, or titers, to check for immunity to each specific disease. Titers can tell you if the pet has been vaccinated but cannot definitely ensure adequate protection. If you are unsure of your pet's vaccination status I would recommend having them vaccinated just to be safe. This is typically much less expensive than running titers and is very safe. I hope this helps.
