How to stop an older kitten from nursing on a new mama cat?

How do i stop my mas 12 week old kitten from nursing on my cat.who had kittens 2 weeks ago,the 12 week old will drain every teet.is that a problem for the kittens she is a two year old ma first litter the 12 week one was adopted

Hi there. I would recommend keeping the 12 week old kitten separate from the nursing mama. We don't want the kittens to fail to thrive due to too little nutrition. If you want them to spend some time together make sure you supervise and don't allow her to nurse. Good luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
