How to stop family feeding my cat harmful food when they won't listen?

The fish likely won't make him sick but if you are seeing problems with it, maybe confining him in your room when your Auntie is home will solve the problem! I wish you all the best!

The best thing you can do to cut down on Oliver’s interest in roaming is to neuter him and keep him inside at all times if it is feasible. If you do want him to be an indoor/outdoor cat then I would not worry too much about him missing his meals. He may be hunting while outside and/or being feed by others while he is out. As long as you consistently offer him food at your home he will always come back. I would not recommend leaving his food outside though, as this could cause you to have unwanted visitors, like stray cats and wild animals, at your home. Keep in mind that if you continue to allow Oliver access to the outside he will need certain vaccinations to keep him from contracting other diseases. I hope this helps. If Wilkie is not wanting to eat, there could be medical reasons behind this behavior such as dental disease or a tooth or oral infection. Other possibilities may include something infectious, organ dysfunction, an endocrine disorder, or other causes. If all medical conditions have been entirely ruled out by a veterinarian, then my best advice is to just stick with one brand of food and try not to change the food or add other food items to it to entice him to eat as this will allow him to become a very picky eater. Try giving him only one type of food-if he is healthy and well, he will not starve himself! He will eventually learn to eat what is given to him. I hope this helps and thank you for posting!

Hello, I recommend having multiple types of smelly, soft food available to encourage Olly's appetite. Canned tuna may be helpful as well. If you are unable to encourage eating at home, he will need to be seen by a veterinarian. A dropper holds such a small amount of fluid that it is likely not making a difference. Home-made diets are typically NOT recommended by veterinarians, as it is very difficult to ensure cats are getting the proper amounts and percentages of nutrients. Cats have very particular needs when it comes to food, and they can become sick if they are either missing certain nutrients or if they get too much of others. Unless you consult a board certified Veterinary Nutritionist who can come up with an appropriate homemade diet for Kaira, I recommend feeding her a commercial cat food formulated for adult cats. There is nothing wrong with feeding normal cat food, in fact, they are much safer and preferred over homemade diets. A significant amount of research goes into formulating cat foods and making sure they are complete and balanced. I hope this is helpful!

Bobby and Coco are adorable! I do recommend only feeding Bobby kitten food. This is a common problem where kittens will want the adult food. I would recommend once Coco is done with her food and she walks away to just pick it up. You are already feeding in different rooms so just by picking up the food should help. It definitely could harm to feed some human food depending on the particular pet, what is fed, and of course how much. I would advise staying away from feeding human food to your cat. Many foods can cause GI upset and other problems including toxicity.
