My 15-year-old Persian cat has a wound. Is it an emergency?

Hi there and thanks for posting! The wound you posted a picture of is a little hard to see, but it does look red, swollen, and draining a bit which isnt good. Although not necessarily an emergency, Molly should be seen as soon as possible for this. If your vet isn't open this weekend or available to get you in today or tomorrow, then going to an emergency vet would be my recommendation. I wouldn't wait until Monday on this one. What you're describing sounds more likely to be a skin problem of some kind (allergies, etc.) vs. an actual wound or something more serious, although of course it's always hard to say without being able to see her in person. It does sound like this is something that should be seen by a vet, since skin issues in cats that are severe enough to cause hair loss and raw spots will virtually always need prescription meds to treat effectively. But if she's acting normal otherwise (eating and drinking, relatively active, no other obvious symptoms), then I wouldn't consider it to be an emergency. It should be okay to call your regular vet's office and get an appointment scheduled for her when you're able to, hopefully within the next week or two. :)

Roji appears to have a pretty severe upper respiratory infection. There is nothing you can do to treat this at home. She needs to see a vet and get some antibiotics/treatment. It looks like you have pet insurance. They should cover this type of problem.

It looks like a burst abscess but it could also be an ulcerated tumor, i strongly advise taking her to the vet today in order to get it checked and treated, she will need an antibiotic injection at the very least in order to heal from this.

Whisker does sound like he's in pain, and I'm concerned about the blood dripping and pain in the hind end. He could have bladder stones causing the blood (if it's coming from his penis), and bladder stones can block the urethra, which is fatal without treatment. Hi. Poor thing! Yes, they can die from infection or blood loss or shock. I'm not sure if you mean she had it surgically removed today, or trauma removed it? Either way, I'd get her to the ER Right away.
