Why is my senior cat vomiting brown liquid, hiding, and not eating?

Wednesday could be having many different issues that could range from a virus to pancreatitis. I would try to feed her a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice. Make sure she is drinking water and observe her for any further vomiting/diarrhea or lethargy. If she is continuing to be sick tomorrow, I would recommend to take her into the vet for an exam and some bloodwork. The doctor can also give her medicine to help her feel better. Missy has to see a vet as soon as possible. When a cat doesn't eat for three days, they develop a fatty liver which is fatal without treatment. She needs to see a vet now to prevent that from happening. In a senior cat like Missy, her anorexia could be caused by kidney failure, cancer, diabetes, and liver failure among other causes. It's also serious that she hasn't used the litter box in two days. She needs a physical exam, geriatric blood panel, and urinalysis to diagnose what is causing her symptoms so she can be treated.

Unless she is still on steroids, which could cause vomiting, It sounds as Mia is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Vomiting can occur from many conditions such as foreign body ingestion and obstruction, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. Hiding is a sign of sicknesss or discomfort in cats usually. I recommend that you have Luna evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start her on medications to make her feel better. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. Poor Kika! With the time frame in mind it sounds like she is having issues towards the end of digestion. This could be to do with her stomach pH being off or being overly sensitive, or could be due to the liver or pancreas etc. If her blood panel is normal and the ultrasound didn't show any structural abnormality in the stomach then I suspect it is a functional problem. I would suggest trying to feed her a food for sensitive stomachs such as gastrointestinal. I would also feed her earlier so she has more active time to digest. If this doesn't improve the situation you could try a medication such as tagamet to line and settle the tummy. Failing that tests would have to be repeated and possibly her stomach would need to be examined endoscopically.

This is an emergency. Brown puke is a sign of possible bleeding in the stomach (the acid in the stomach makes blood turn brown). Your cat could have an ulcer, or an intoxication or another gastrointestinal problem. Please take Honey to a veterinarian today.

As your cat has not been eating for a few days now as well as not drinking, this is an emergency. Cats can get liver disease from not eating for more than 2 days and not drinking will make them dehydrated and feel even worse and less inclined to drink and eat. Vomiting bile can be a sign of chronic or acute pancreatitis. There are some diseases that will have to be ruled out (can be done easily with a blood test), such as kidney disease and hyperthyroidism and dental problems. I think taking her to an emergency clinic is definitely warranted.
