Why did my rabbit's crusty ear fall off? What should I do next?

A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan, as each are a different medication. Don't attempt to clean it out as this could cause more bleeding. Poor Kitty Bear! I would be concerned that she may have ear tip vasculitis that affects the blood flow to the tips of the ears and can result in crusts and ulcerative wounds. Squamous cell carcinoma is a cancer that can affect the tips of the ears as well but it would be unusual for both ears to be affected. I would definitely recommend having your vet examine her as soon as possible to determine what might be going on. A biopsy might be recommended.

This presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria but fungal infections are possible as well). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any scratching (if any). No, I would not consider that normal. I suggest you get her to a vet for an exam. Crusts in the ear are usually due to ear mites but can also indicate an infection. Without distinguishing between the two I really cannot recommend any treatment; your vet would need to do that. Hope this helps.

Flakey skin could be due to parasites, an infection, skin inflammation (multiple causes). Another concern might be myxomatosis, which is usually transmitted via a mosquito bite.. This is probably due to a severe mite infestation (scabies), you will need to take her to the vet ASAP in order to get treated with a medication called ivermectin, it can be applied as an injection or spot on, usually 3 treatments one week apart from each other is enough to solve the problem.
