Pregnant cat vomiting and pink clots. Is she in labor or miscarrying?

Hi, and thanks for your question. This may be caused by the space occupying kittens pushing on abdominal organs. I would suggest to withhold food for the next 8-12 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days but you can keep the meals in small portions. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, more vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. I am very concerned about what you describe especially being just 2-3 weeks postpartum. I worry that she may have a uterine infection, a retained fetus, or a possibly mastitis. Hello, I do worry that Lucy may have retained placenta or a uterine infection that could be causing pain. I worry whenever cats become lethargic and stop eating. Poor Smores sounds quite ill! I would have her seen by a vet immediately, as it's quite serious that she is pregnant and can't keep down water. She could quickly become dehydrated, which is not safe for her or the kittens. It could be that she was in labor and it has now stopped, making her ill. She may need veterinary attention to help give birth to her kittens. She may also have a GI illness. The vet can diagnose what is causing her vomiting, and can treat her. Please bring her into a vet ASAP.

Please take her to your nearest vet if labour does not progress within the next hour. What she has passed may be a deformed kitten but now that she has started the rest of the litter must follow or she is at severe risk of infection
