My pregnant cat is sleeping a lot. Is she going into labor soon?

I would give her space and limit the number of people hovering around her and checking on her. Cats can delay labor when stressed. Leave her in a quiet room with a litter box, food and water. Provide a comfortable box or bed for her to have the babies. Check on her every few hours. Good luck!

This could be a sign that labor is near however it could be normal behavior for this stage of pregnancy. I would monitor Kawaii for any vaginal discharge, appetite change, hiding behavior or active contractions. If you notice any of those signs it is a more reliable indicator of labor. If she has any green discharge, contractions without producing any kittens, or has a foul smelling vaginal discharge she needs to be examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible.

Stage 1 of labor can last up to 24 hours, but I would keep a close eye on her. Once she starts pushing she should not labor more than 4 hours without a kitten. I would contact your veterinarian as a precaution and simply let them know what is happening.

Gestation is about 63-65 days, so you should be seeing signs of labor soon. If your timing is right, it should be any day now. You may be slightly off on your timing and maybe she has been pregnant for less time than you think? Look for signs of labor such as nesting behavior, vocalization, being more affectionate, licking the vulva and a change in appetite. Cats do not always give clear signs of labor like dogs so it can be tricky sometimes to notice when a cat is in labor. I hope this helps! In the 24-48 hours prior to giving birth, the cat appear appear anxious and restless. She will start to show nesting behavior, looking for a quiet place to give birth. She will lick her abdomen and vagina persistently, and you may see a discharge. She will lose all interest in food. You may see an increase in her breathing rate, and as labor continues, she will lay on her side and intermittently squat and press downwards to give birth to her kittens.

Some cats start producing milk one day before giving birth, and others start 2 or 3 weeks before. She is already very "round" and should have them in the next few days. As long as she appears happy and healthy, eats drinks, poops and pees, there is no problem. Once she starts going into labor, she should have the kittens within a relatively short time. If you see her straining for more than 1/2 hour without producing a kitten, it is time to take her to a vet. If she has a discharge that smells bad, there is a problem and she should also be seen by a vet. Any discharge near, during and after giving birth should be odor-less.

She is likely pregnant and I would expect some kittens within the next couple of months. Taking care of a pregnant cat and kittens is costly and time-consuming, so if you happen to not be willing/able to care for and adopt-out kittens, then I would consider getting her spayed sometime soon.
