Is Orijen Cat & Kitten food truly healthy and nutritious for my cat?

In my personal opinion Orijen is the best commercial food on the market or at the very least a top 5 food, i have been using it for my pets for many years and have been recommending it for years as well.

No, there aren't any bad effects from the high protein, although cats with kidney problems should be fed low protein diets. Cats actually need higher amounts of protein in their food than dogs because they are obligate carnivores (meaning they cannot survive without meat). There are reports, however, that Orijen can cause stinky poop in cats.

I suspect this is more of a mid grade food. The better foods would be Royal Canin or Purina Proplan. This particular diet is formulated to meet the demands of all life stages, so technically this should be fine for kittens and will be OK to feed them this. However, there can be some problems associated with feeding adult cats this food, because it may contain more calories and make them more prone to obesity. I don't recommend to feed this food. All life stages food is not developed specifically for puppies. That means it may not contain the best amounts of DHA and other supplements needed for brain, nerve and bone development. Additionally, due to a suspected link with heart disease, most veterinarians do not recommend feeding a grain free diet. Grains very rarely are a cause of allergies in pets. Instead feed a puppy food from a diet that is balanced. Many quality brands include Royala Canin, Science Diet and Purina ProPlan. I personally really like Royal Canin. It's a high quality food that I feed to my own cats. In looking up concept for life, I see it's branded as a holistic food. I personally recommend staying away from things labeled "holistic" because there is no scientific proof that they work and you often pay a lot extra for something that has no true benefits. Please also keep in mind that breeders typically do not have any education in animal nutrition and therefore make recommendations based on anecdotal evidence. I say use the Royal Canin, it's a great food that many of my colleagues recommend using in cats.

I really like Science Diet, Royal Canin and Purina as these are all good companies that conduct research on their diets. Any of those would work well for Milo as they are of high quality.
