My old cat eats fast, vomits, is aggressive. Is it hyperthyroidism?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 16 years old | 9 lbs

Hi! I have a male DSH cat, 16yrs old, steady 9lbs weight who is VORACIOUS when eating! Last nite he vomited up the quickly-eaten food on two different occasions. He's also been picking fights w/ our other male DSH cat (10-11 yrs old) and will also have bursts of random energy. Litter box use is good/no issues.. Hyperthyroidism??

That is definitely a top thought with what you are describing. A simple blood test can confirm this. Other options do include gastroenteritis or an inflammatory bowel disease also so an ultrasound would be another useful test. Each have different treatments and they can be managed
