My old cat has a swollen and hard belly,it's not very visible just when he's standing up you can see on each side half a balloon,at first i though he was just getting.he acts and eats normally and he doesn't mind when i touch his belly. i noticed that it's less swollen and hard in the morning when he wakes up.he eats a lot of raw things, dairy products, cat food...his alimentation is not balanced, and he's not dewormed so could it be because of worms? what other symptoms should i watch for? Thank's

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Pops. You did the right thing by having him seen by a vet today for this. Depending on his age, this could be something serious like a tumor causing the swollen abdomen. Sometimes certain types of cancer are not detected with blood work. If this swollen abdomen does not subside, I would take him back into the vet for an abdominal x-rays and ultrasound. Best of luck.
