My cat is pregnant. Should the male cat be present for delivery?

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | 1 year and 2 months old

Hello doctor.. we have 2 cats male and female... she is pregnant..she is now in early stages of delivery..does the Male feline help her during delivery? Or we need to move him to next door?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Lisa. No, the male does not need to be present. He may make Lisa uncomfortable and could actually harm the new kittens. I recommend keeping the male cats separate from her during delivery and afterwards while the kittens are with her. I hope this information helps!
