My indoor cat is lost. Will he ever find his way home after 2 months?

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Golu. He probably roams because he is not neutered or altered. Male cats will roam extensively if they are not neutered. The testosterone drives them to seek out mates and reproduce. Neutering him would make him a lot less likely to roam. Pets have been lost for extended periods of time, even longer than this. It's possible that he could return home. It's also possible that he has been taken in by another family who is feeding him now. I hope he returns. Good luck

It is not unusual for a cat to come back home and they are good tracing back their way home. If he has a microchip you can check if he has been found at any of the local shelters. I am hopeful that he will come back. I will keep praying for his return. Good luck!

I am sorry Orion has gone missing. It appears you've done quite a bit already. I would recommend contacting local veterinary clinics and maybe posting a flyer with a picture of Orion. If he is microchipped, contact the company to notify them. In the event that he is in the area, get some dry food and pour it into an aluminum pie tin while outside. Gently rattle it while calling his name. If he hears, he may come running. Ask neighbors on your street and neighboring streets to keep an eye out for him. I hope you find him or someone returns him soon.

I hope he's ok! I'd say chances are still good at this point - I recommend keeping food out for him, and set his litterbox outside so he can recognize his familiar scent if he's become a bit disoriented. I hope he finds his way home!

I am so sorry Tux ran away! I have heard stories of owners who have been reunited with their missing pets months and even years after the pet has gone missing, so it's certainly possible that you can find him. Given that he's not neutered, I wouldn't be surprised if he's travelled far looking for females with which to mate. Intact males will roam far and wide to find females, so I would widen your search area for him. I will be hoping you will find it!

Oh no, I'm so sorry Luna is missing. Have you checked with local vet clinics? Let them know you are missing her, and they can keep an eye on her in case someone brings her in. You can also check any local animal shelter. Keep searching, and check very small places. It's amazing how cats can squeeze themselves into very tiny places. Also check up trees. I lost an indoor cat once, and found her high up in a tree. I hope this helps and you find her.

Unfortunately, it is possible that the cat may not return, but I recommend making posts on social media letting people know you are looking for the cat. You can also contact local vet clinics to see if anyone has found him, and to let them know you are looking for the cat. You can put up fliers if they let you in the clinic. Finally, you can contact the local SPCA to see if anyone has dropped off the kitten. I hope your friend finds their kitten!
