Why is my kitten throwing up white foam and not eating after shots?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 21 days old | 3 lbs

My kitten received his first shots 2 days ago and the first day he was eating but he was not that active and then today he started throwing up very little of the white foamy liquid almost like milk and he hasn’t ate. Last time he ate was yesterday and he didn’t eat a lot

This is a quite generic but concerning presentation. Differentials are many, from vaccine side effects to any gastrointestinal diseases (infection/inflammations often dietary related) to any disease that can spread systemically (causing lethargy for example) like infection, and anything that can cause pain/discomfort.
The approach must be logic, starting from offering different kind of food. A check up is needed if inappetence lasts for more than 24hours.

Hello, sorry to hear about Cello. This could be considered a type of delayed vaccine reaction and can be either due to pain at the injection site or a direct reaction in her stomach. If she is vomiting a lot, then I would definitely recommend she is seen by a veterinarian to avoid severe dehydration. However, there is a chance that this may pass on its own if you monitor her for the rest of the day. On the other hand, there are other things that can cause a decreased appetite and vomiting such as foreign bodies, worms, and viruses. As a first approach, I would suggest to withhold food for the next 8-12 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken/white fish and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, more vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. My kitten threw up after vaccines. Is this normal for kittens?

This can be normal! You can see some vomiting after getting vaccines and given that Faelan only vomited once, I would not be too worried. Plus he sounds like he is otherwise acting normally. I would keep an eye on him and if you see protracted vomiting, diarrhea, signs of an allergic reaction (facial swelling, difficulty breathing, then I would be worried and rush him into an ER vet immediately.
