Hello, I have a two week old kitty who has a small piece of umbilical cord, which was never chewed off. I saw that it started to harden, curl, and turn black/green. Also, his belly button is slightly another color. The bottom part is pink but the top still attached isn't. I snipped the majority off, but I don't want to cut too deep. What should I do? Should I wait and see? I have read about umbilical infections, but I can't afford to see a vet, at the moment. Thanks!
