As long as Coco is at least two pounds in weight, she can be spayed now, and while the vet is doing her spay, the hernia can be fixed as well. I would have her spayed as soon as possible, as you do want it done before she goes into heat the first time. Cats can go into heat as early as six months of age, so it's best to get it done now. 2. Good on you for vaccinating her! I would get the chlamydia vaccine as soon as possible for her as it's highly contagious. You can do it as soon as two weeks after the rabies vaccine. Her breed is only a problem if she or the male cat has large skulls that they may not pass in the birth canal. It is not too early to spay her, in fact I usually recommend spaying at 6months. The more heat cycles so goes through the more at risk she is for mammary and uterine cancers as she ages. My recommendation is to spay her soon. Good luck and kisses to Sussie!

Baby is not yet sexually mature at 2 months, so spaying will probably not affect her behavior much at this point. Once she reaches sexual maturity her behavior could be affected, so I would still recommend having her spayed before 5 months of age. Lots of play time and toys are necessary at this age, and as she gets older she should gradually calm down a bit.

Most cats can be fixed once they are over a certain weight rather than a certain age. Bringing him to your vet to be weighed and talking with your vet can let you know if he is large enough to be neutered. Your vet can also check for any remaining baby teeth in his mouth, as well as adult teeth that have come in to give you a closer estimate of his age. (It's hard to tell from your photo if those are still baby teeth or if they are adult teeth coming in, but this usually happens starting around 3-4 months of age, and finishes around 6-7 months.)
