Other conditions which may make them lethargic include dietary indiscretions or ingestion of foreign matrial. If jasmine is eating and drinking ok, without any vomiting or diarrhea she may be able to wait a little longer until you can bring her to a veterinarian. If she is otherwise not eating well, has vomiting or diarrhea, then you should consider having her evaluated soon. Without additional clinical signs it is hard to say exactly what is causing his lethargy and decreased appetite but he could be starting with a respiratory virus or a gastrointestinal virus. He could also have parasites that need to be treated. If it continues than he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet can run lab work to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. If he is unvaccinated, please discuss a vaccine plan with your vet once he has recovered from this illness.

Weight loss usually means something more than just not liking a new food, such as intestinal parasites, endocrine disorder (such as hyperthyroidism), kidney disease, etc. The greasy coat could be from the lack of grooming (either because she doesn't feel well or it is too painful to do so - oral pain or arthritis), but could also be cause by hyperthyroidism. Aww poor Thomas! I agree that he looks quite thin. I think you should get him to a veterinarian very soon because it sounds like he make have an upper respiratory infection and need antibiotics. There are many other reasons for weight loss so a vet will also help you determine if it's just a respiratory infection or something more serious. You can try placing Thomas in the bathroom with the shower running because sometimes steam will help reduce mucous and open air says. However, I really think Thomas needs to see a veterinarian soon.
