My kitten has skin issues and fleas. Can I use hydrogen peroxide?

I am glad we could be of help! Unfortunately we don't have access to your previous post(s) so I don't have all of the information. Clear fluid coming from a wound is usually serum, which indicates healing. I do not recommend using peroxide on wounds since it actually kills new tissue cells and slows healing. Iodine is likely not needed at this point, either. I would continue the antibiotics, though. For cleaning, just use a warm wet wash cloth very gently around the wounds so that you do not interrupt the delicate tissue that forms to fill in the hole.

Dish soap is not recommended for delicate kitten skin and I recommend you start her on a course of omega fatty acid supplements as soon as possible (such as viacutan) to try to replenish the natural oils and moisture in her skin. I recommend using a fipronil based flea spray 48hours after the last wash to help reduce the fleas and also spray all bedding and sleeping areas with an insecticidal flea spray alongside daily, gentle flea combing

Frontline spray is safe to use on kittens from two days of age. If the kittens are that age, you can safely use it on them. It can also safely be used on Baby. You will also have to disinfect the environment, as fleas live in the home and not on the animal. Wash their bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. If you do use a spray like Indorex, do not allow Baby and her kittens in that area until the spray is completely dry. I hope this helps.

Hi. There are some prescription glea medications you can get from your veterinarian at that age. In the meantime, bath with dawn soap, and you need to have your home and environment professionally treated or the flea cycle will continue

I don't see any hard evidence of fleas although i can't rule it out and would recommend treating for them anyway, this looks more like either a fungal, bacterial infection or an allergic reaction. i would not recommend using this shampoo prior to getting this condition diagnosed by your vet.

If the kittens are six weeks old, you can get topical flea medication from your vet that is very safe for kittens and will kill the fleas and keep them off for a month at a time. In the meantime, you can bathe them with a small amount of dawn dish soap and warm water. You must also clean their environment very well. Wash all the bedding and vacuum the area very well to get rid of all flea eggs. I would repeat this every few days until the flea issue goes away.
