Little red cuts have recently appeared around my kittens lips. Just today, I came home and found a big red patch almost the colour of blood on her cheek where her whiskers are. When I touched it, she didn't seem phased and it was dry. I'm just wondering if it's an allergic reaction? She was stung by a bee two days ago and we got the stinger out. She also has just switched food from kitten to adult until we get kitten biscuits again. I'm not sure if the sores around her lips appeared after that.

He is so cute. It looks like he could have a bacterial skin infection or an allergic dermatitis. You could bathe him with an antibacterial medicated cat shampoo and see if that helps. Try to wash that area well without getting the shampoo in his eyes. Inspect him for fleas and treat with a flea prevention, like Revolution, if you see any fleas. Otherwise, have him examined by a vet for treatment. He may need an antibiotic, antihistamine, and/or a corticosteroid to help.
