My kitten has a red nose, teary eyes, inactive. What should I do?

This is usually treated with antibiotic eye drops and oral antibiotics and cats usually respond well to therapy. I recommend that you have Deimos evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. If they agree that based on an examination, that seems to be the issue, they will likely prescribe medications to make him feel better. You are doing a good job. I would keep her eyes and nostrils clean with a warm damp cloth twice daily. Also feeding wet cat food that has been warmed in the microwave will increase the odor of the food so she will eat better. Cats that can’t smell don’t eat well. Then keep her inside in a warm place and let her rest. Like us a cold will take a few days to a week to go away. Based on your description and the pictures, I suspect that he has an upper respiratory infection. Many times upper respiratory infections can be contributed to the herpes virus in cats. Young kittens such as Bubba can get bad colds and other serious infections. Upper respiratory infections are common and they usually have eye and nose discharge and can cause a fever so they don't want to eat. Kittens are also are more fragile than older animals so I recommend you get her to a veterinarian for treatment soon. In the mean time keep her warm and see if she will lick some water or tuna juice from your finger to help keep her from getting dehydrated. Usually with rest they will improve in a week or two.
