The incubation period (time from infection to first symptoms) in cats is generally 3-8weeks but can be up to one year. The 6 month booster vaccine is recommended in order to maintain immunity and prevent future infection, it can be given earlier as a precaution if there is any fear she may have been younger or weak/debilitated when she got the first vaccine
