Skin and hair coat problems can be caused by a variety of things including external parasites (fleas, ticks, mites, etc), nutritional problems including loss of nutrition/blood by intestinal parasites, other dietary issues, bacterial/fungal infections, among many others. I don't think the food is causing a problem unless you are not feeding kitten food and I have never heard of the litter causing a problem like this unless it is getting caked onto the hair and skin. They are definitely old enough to be dewormed and I would highly advise that. Deworming should start at 2 weeks of age and be done every 3 weeks for at least 3-4 times. If these areas of concern worsen and persist, I would highly advise you have your vet evaluate Oreo to try to figure out what is going on. It doesn't seem like it's something contagious but sometimes not all kittens are affected. Your vet can advise some tests if needed (skin scrape, skin cytology, fungal culture, woods lamp exam, etc) to try to determine what is going on. Once a diagnosis is made or suspected, a sound treatment plan can be put into action. Your vet can also advise you on a sound preventive health care plan including deworming, testing, vaccines, flea/tick control, etc. Good luck with Oreo.

Hello. This could be the beginning of a little upper respiratory infection. Since most of these are viruses, usually with time they go away ( usually 10-14 days ). As long as Spice continues to eat & act normal, just keep the eye clean of the mucous with a little warm water. If this progresses to a little sneezing, again, as long as he is acting/eating fine, there is no need for treatment. The kitten usually gets better in 7-14 days. If the sneezing gets worse or the nasal discharge becomes cloudy, yellow or green Mika may have developed a secondary bacterial infection. She would then need antibiotics. Canned cat food has a lot of water in it. You can add water to the canned food to increase water intake. If she is doing well she is likely getting all the water she needs. Especially if she is producing urine regularly. I hope this helps and I wish you and Mika the best!

However, given her age and signs of eye discharge, I would also be concerned with an upper respiratory tract infection. Kittens may suffer from URIs intermittently and signs may last 3-5 days. If she is otherwise eating, drinking, and acting like her self then you can continue to monitor her at home. However, if you note any lethargy, persistent vomiting, diarrhea, labored breathing, or a decreased appetite then she needs to be re-revaluated by a veterinarian. You may continue feeding her the new diet for now. You can also try to offer plain white rice and boiled skinless and boneless chicken with her new food. Hope this helps and best of luck.

She could have an abscess or infection in her glands or diarrhea that leading to discharge or fistula. The sneezing is common in kittens and can be from a respiratory infection. I would have the vet check her. the respiratory component are easy to fix. If there is an infection or abscess and diarrhea, they can do a stool sample to see what the problem is and how to fix it to get the area to heal properly
