Hi so I’ve had my 9 week kitten for a bout a week now and ever since we brought him home he meows every time he goes number 2. Is that normal or could It mean he’s in pain? He eats everyday and he goes number two regularly it’s just every time he’s digging for a spot to go in his litter box he’s meows

Not necessarily normal. However, look at the feces to ensure it is solid. If it is loose it could indicate that he has some intestinal parasites and in need of a proper deworming. Most kittens are dewormed regularly starting at around 6-8 weeks of age anyway, so its a good idea to get this started. Also he is due for starting his kitten vaccinations, so its best to schedule him an appt with your vet soon.
If he has abnormallly hard stools, then its best to try to increase his water intake by offering wet/canned food or using a pet water fountain that encourages more water intake.
I hope that things work out well for your kitty. Best wishes and take care!
