My kitten lost a tooth with blood. When do kittens start losing teeth?

Typically the baby premolars will fall out between 16-20 weeks of age, so it could be possible that Chid has pulled out his adult teeth, but from the picture, these do not look like adult teeth. I suspect that his premolars are later coming out, and that's what he pulled out. I would have him seen by a vet just to be safe, and show the vet the teeth. I hope this helps!

The adults should all be fully erupted by 6 months. If Willow is losing teeth at 11 months it could be her adult teeth and I would have her looked at by your Vet to see if she has dental disease. Also sometimes the baby teeth become retained and do not shed on time. Sometimes we remove these retained baby teeth at the spay or neuter. It sounds like your kitten is of the age when it is getting its final adult teeth (usually 6-7 months) so it is possible your kitty is just losing her baby teeth. When kittens are teething sometimes they do have a bad breath/odor while they are teething. When the teeth fall out we can have some bleeding at the gums as well. If the bleeding was prolonged, your kitty is having trouble eating or is lethargic or pawing at her mouth, I would recommend an exam by the vet to look at the oral cavity to ensure there aren't any signs of infection, a foreign body stuck in the gums, or ulceration. It can be scary to see blood when a kitten loses teeth, but a small amount is normal. If you see broken teeth, if Ember is having difficulty eating or drinking, or if you feel as though he is in pain, please see your vet. You can soak a rope toy in water and freeze it and see if Ember would like to chew on it to provide some relief while he is teething.

I'm sorry to hear Platinum is having these issues! Baby teeth are usually lost between 4-6 months of age so she may have just lost her baby teeth. However, some of the other things you're describing are concerning to me, especially in a kitten. These things could be a sign of many things including infection, gastrointestinal disease, or pain. Hi and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Cleo is losing her kitten teeth and getting her adult teeth in. The canine (fang) teeth come in around 4-6 months of age. Sounds like this is completely normal and has nothing do to with the food that you are feeding her. Over the next 2 months you will notice the canine teeth (kitten) will fall out and the adult teeth will replace them. Sounds like Cleo is doing good otherwise. I wish you two the best.

As long as the vet checked him and reassured you that he is overall fine, that is the most important thing, although i am not sure why he would tell you that the tooth will grow back, unless he is younger that what you wrote in his profile (1 year and 4 months), permanent teeth grow approximately at the age of 3-6 months, after that whatever falls does not grow back. regarding the wiggling tooth, this is the same issue basically, if he is under 6 months and it is a baby tooth then it will probably fall soon, if it doesn't bother him you can wait until it falls, if he is painful- ask your vet to have it removed under sedation.
