My 8-week kitten limps for days but is still active. Vet needed?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

I think my eight week old kitten sprained her leg. She's still jumping onto the bed and back down and climbing up the stairs but when she walks she still limps. It's been a few days since I first saw her limp so I'm not sure if it's serious enough for her to be taken to the vet or do I leave it out for a couple of days.

Given that she has been limping for a few days now, I would have her seen by the vet. In growing animals, it's important to have any limb problems checked out just in case it could have an adverse affect on her growth.
